As you guys probably know we got snowed out Saturday. We tried to keep the event going but it became more and more impossible.
Now we are doing a condensed version tomorrow night 12/23.
It will be 21+ only! I am sorry, but we just were not able to reset up the all ages party. PLUS we ca not meet at the monuments because the park permit people would not transfer our permit!
Now we will be meeting at Grand Central, one of our participating bars. They have generously agreed to let us do registration and make up there on top of their drink specials. If you want your make up done, be there at 7pm. If you are coming made up, be there at 8pm to register. We want everyone registered by 9pm so we can get a good group picture.
Most of the bars are still participating, but some had prior obligations. We will update everyone at the meet up. The costume contest has been moved to Madam’s Organ, which should be fun because we are doing it during open mike night!
Still bring a toy, it will no longer go to Toys For Tots, because they stopped accepting them, but we WILL find some needy kids who will appreciate them this Christmas!
Please send me a message back if you plan on coming. Mention if you are bring anyone who would not get this message themselves and if you want make up done for you.

We were going ho to show up tonight regardless of so called “danger”. However, after the MARINE CORPS bailed and DC declared a state of emergency we are now forced to postpone. Our apologies to anyone who was going to make an attempt, but we have gotten nothing but people saying that they cant make it so far. We are going to make serious attempt to postpone the Crawl until Wednesday. We are not sure whether this will be feasible as we will have to contact the permit people, the marines with toys for tots and all the bars, but we are going to try! Please give us feedback about whether or not you will be able to make it if we are able to have the event on wednesday. We will be accepting the gifts at Come a Time Tattoo at 3852 Old Lee Hwy fairfax va 22030. Please buy a t shirt if you have the funds available, as most of the money for this even came from our personal christmas money and we were really depending on the event. (Remember we will be having this event again yearly, so these tshirts will be collectors, and there were only 50 made:) You can buy a t shirt or make a donation at DCZOMBIECRAWL.COM and anything is appreciated greatly. Hope we can make it happen on wed.!

The Inaugural DC Zombie Crawl (DC/ZC) is a zombie walk with a purpose! We Are trying to do our part to make sure that no child in the DC metro area goes without a present this holiday. We have teamed up with Toys For Tots and several local businesses to make this event a huge success, but we still need YOUR help!
Our zombie crawl will start off in front of the Washington Monument. It begins at 6pm for present drop off and a meet and greet. At this time participants will also have a chance to sign up for our costume contests later that evening! Zombie participants should come dressed (for advice on how to be a zombie check here), but if the makeup part isn’t something you would like to take on yourself, we will have a team of professionals on hand to do your makeup for a small cash donation to Toys For Tots. If you would like to use our makeup artist we ask that you arrive there promptly at 6pm. We only have limited time and limited artists, and we want to make sure everyone gets a chance!
After the meet and greet and registration period is over, we will go over the rules and then”crawl” around the monuments doing our best zombie acting. Sometime after 9pm we will end the “crawl” part and go on to the celebration part.
For our zombies over 21 who wish to partake in some adult beverages, we have SEVERAL bars in Adam’s Morgan offering drink specials, free covers and/or food specials as a thank you to our zombie participants. Asylum, has also agreed to host our costume contest/ awards show. IMPORTANT NOTE; this event is NOT a bar crawl, it is a zombie crawl, with the option of celebrating afterwords at various Adam’s Morgan’s bars who have agreed to sponsor the event. After the debauchery ends free cab rides up to $50 are available and we have worked out a deal with the “way too nice for a bunch of zombies” Churchhill Hotel to give participants rooms for $99! For our zombie cohorts under 21 or who wish to avoid bars, we will be having a different celebration. We will be holding a party at The Church Of The Pilgrim, with food, drinks, live bands and a special costume contest for this group as well!
